Stay Cool to watch a fake High Noon 2017

It is a summer, We may have to take out again our old electric fans left unused for years to cool our old body. Weather is hot, even going to be hotter this summer because the progressive – progressivism is a euphemism for socialism or communism - environmentalist Mr. Moon ordered to shut down the nuclear plants not worrying electric power shortage in maximum demand during the boiling summer and requiring more limitation of the electricity usage in the poverty stricken neighborhood potentially increasing child diseases and elderly mortality. He decided also to resupply the scarce electric power to N Korea for the restoration of Kaesung industrial park. He lives in his high school dream of a unified socialistic Korea. His Utopian ideal will only lead to another failed nation under which Koreans will suffer even more. This shows his motivation being for ideology not for real people. Meantime, we have to learn how to stay cool physically and intellectually in this unpredictable era. Elderly person like us is recommended rather to stay home lying down in front of a not so cool electric fan. The electric fan is much cheaper to operate than the air con. In those days in my high school, when the electric power was so poor that during the high demand even the electric fan did not turn normally, I contrived to build myself a step up transformer draining the electric power more from my neighborhood into my electric fan. I was a bad boy not practicing the equal distribution in Mr. Moon’s world. I was too young to have ‘equal distribution’ in my brain dictionary. My ingenuity and efforts made me an electrical engineer, who at my peak had built a satellite communications network over the continental US. I still have at our family room the plaque of recognition for the work in 1990. It was 37 years ago. Right after that, I got a job of managing the Koreasat program only to learn the social greed dominated by then Korean political hacks. But I had a few good friends helping me struggling in the dirt. Time flies. I was lucky to have such a good help and grace probably coming from the above. All the water reservoirs are dried up this season. There is not enough water to grow farm products. We need a lot of rainfall. People started to look up heavenward. We are mere mortals.  Be healthy this summer, my friends. Everything will turn out all right.

To stay cool intellectually, we need an intellectual exercise helping mental health. The pop singer Kim Hyunchul is well known for his hit song of the wall clock not missing even one tick. He seemed to hate the wall clock robbing him of younger days of his love and romance. We are slaved to the ticking time. Our lives move according to the time tick as military soldiers move according to the tempo of marching band. Can you guess when ‘time’ had started to tick? Have you ever asked this question seriously? A Christian answer is simple. God created time because God created everything. Stop babbling, some may retort in disdain. I can imagine who he is, but am not sure of it. But I know he believes in God by heart. He has a good heart. Okay, I am a Christian, Please bear with me. So you are arguing that time has been running forever from the time immemorial until today and will continue forever again. Aha, the present time is only real to live. The past time is gone and the future is yet to come. Then the present time is the end of the real time.  Yesterday was one real day before the end time, the day before yesterday being two real days before the end time. The day before a million years ago was a real day existed counting back one by one million times, not skipping a day, from the end time.  If time had started infinite years ago, there would have been infinite number of real not skippable days between the start time and today. Here is the contradiction in the infinity. The infinity is the uncountable number. The day infinite years ago can never reach today by count. In conclusion, time started counting sometime in the countable past. Q.E.D   So now we agree that we live in an edge of the time moving forward one day after another. Christians are aware of the end time story about wars and the rumors of war killing people with horrendous weapons, false leaders, and false prophets appearing in the Bible over and over again.  The end time may not be distant future but today. Remember we live on the edge of time, i.e. today. I know not whether this is the right interpretation for sure; I am only a lay. Christians believe the Bible is the Word of God. It is fair to say the end time story of the Bible is an indication, though imprecise literally, of what is happening now in the world in spiritual and intellectual sense.

Mr. Moon is kind of unfortunate President elected in the end time. Xi, Putin, Kim Jong-un, Trump, and Kwanghwamoon rioters would not let him have a single quiet sleep at night. He has succeeded in mobilizing the pop culture worshiping his Utopian dream. But he sold a fantasy land realizable in no way. His followers will soon realize their stupidity of being duped and will not exactly work for him but for themselves.  Worse of all, people say the presidency seems beyond his pay grade. This is an American term meaning he should be placed to a lower paying job. There will be a High Noon confrontation between him and Mr. Trump coming soon in Washington. We all know Gary Cooper of the confrontational western cowboy movie.  It is his moment to show his case while the world watches including China, Russia, and Japan. This could be an opportunity for him to show himself as a grownup man representing the Land of the Morning Calm. But Mr. Moon is not Gary Cooper but a stuttering novice revolutionist. There are some people siding with him. Many cowardly European socialist leaders hiding behind him want to see him making a case with wishful thinking. They like to see Mr. Trump fail regardless. They want to make a little dent in the capitalism by sacrificing the poor fellow in order to keep the collapsing socialism a day longer. So it is a fair game for Mr. Moon. Mr. Moon has got this position by deceiving Korean people but is deceived by the western socialism. This is all about the little fake High Noon. I sincerely hope he had a case. But I am not on his side because the unified socialistic Korea is only a boy’s fantasy. (June 25,2017, KYP)

The SAAD deployment would be on the forefront table to settle between the two leaders in the forthcoming Mr. Moon’s visit to the White House. Mr. Moon would say he decide after the environmental study which would take a couple of years to get the result. Mr. Trump may ask if who is going to secure the lives of the 20 million Seoul people from the nuclear attack of the North during the study period. The two years are like twenty years in this fast moving dangerous world. Mr. Moon dumbfounds hoping to go away soon from the stressful encounter. He has so many other problems: He has not even full cabinet built. He feels pressure from China; threat from Kim Jong-Un, who wants nothing else but money. The US wants a straight talk on his position. He is being asked if he is pro-American or anti-American. He has to fulfill unrealizable campaign promises indebted to the Kwanghwamoon riots to get the presidency elected. He is very careful of them not to be against him not to get impeached from the power he is bestowed. His true socialist color starts to show up. He wants to make the Government bigger by increasing the number of the government employees in the name of increasing job opportunities. He increases welfare programs and free educations at the cost of the tax payers’ burden. He wants to lower mobile phone fees by his order. He is ignorant of the nation’s economy. He is destroying the free market economy by using his Government power. He wants to reopen Kaesung industrial zone which will directly strengthen the North’s military power directed to overturn S Korea.  

Mr. Moon, the grand heir of Kim Dae-Joong, made it clear that he will pursue the Sunshine Policy Late Kim and Rho had initiated and expanded toward N Korea. (Please see my #22.) We have not forgotten Mr. Kim’s public address. Mr. Kim assured us at the time that N Korea would not develop nuclear weapons and missiles with our money sent. Was he a naïve politician or a communist traitor to turn S Korea over to N Korea? Unfortunately, we don’t have time to discuss this issue in a leisurely manner. But I am not suggesting an impeachment toward Mr. Moon right now.

We must keep S Korea from falling into a poor socialist nation by watching closely Mr. Moon’s pro-North policy. We cannot stop his pro-North policy up front. But the congress has the power to allow Mr. Moon to use money only in a certain way. He may help the people and private business of N Korea but must stop any money going to Kim Jong-un regime. I believe this is what all Korean people want and the congress’s job is to make this happen.

Mr. Moon is apparently a dreamer to have a unified Korea as Kim Dae-Jung was. Who does not like that in dream? He needs to stop sleep walking. Kim Jong-Un is the third generation communist in the North like him being a third generation socialist in the South.

In the real world, there are things men could do and couldn’t do because people’s lives are in the way. Kim Jong-Un has dangerous weapons in his hands. The best thing Mr. Moon could do is not the environmental study but the removal of the weapons from his hands with him or without. If he does this, he will be praised as a hero by China, America, and Russia. If he can put his neck on this issue at the White House in clear term, even Mr. Trump would treat him as an adult.

As for the environmental climate control, the US pulled herself out of the Paris Accord very recently. There are pros and cons. This is a political issue rather than scientific. Why is this not scientific, you may ask? Almost all scientists working on the climate study throughout the world live on the Government money. They work to produce what the Government wants to hear by the computer churning out garbage. They are weak human beings working like a machine not having real brain. My point is that we need not rely on what a machine put out in the name of science. America is very pragmatic determining what is important and what is not. Mr. Trump has decided at this point that the climate issue is not the first in priority unlike Mr. Obama did. Does S Korea have money in the first place to spend on the Paris Accord? June weather in California is beautiful and pleasant. My wife and I decided to clean our bathroom today to get ready for the long hot summer days. We have been thinking about this cleaning since the beginning of this year. We no more have nimble bodies. Besides, I have been hooked to the development of the Korean political situation only to see the result I least hoped for. I am not a politician as you, my friends, know. I was an engineer. I was good at doing what I do best. One time, I saw an opportunity to serve my fatherland with my profession and expertise in putting up a communication satellite for the first time in Korea. I had established an enough credential in the company I worked with to lead this project. I had the full support from the company in money and technology. I got the best satellite ever built with the proven technology. As some of you may know, my campaign was not successful. My company decided to sell only technology and honesty at that time. Poor politicians worked for their cronies and did not pay attention to the benefits the nation would get by choosing the best proven product. I was treated as a street vendor. Going back to my bathroom, Mr. Moon would not help me to clean our bathroom. Mr. Hong would not help me either, even if he had succeeded his venture. I have nothing to do with particular politicians. But I was interested in seeing the direction with which such politicians are leading for a prosperous and peaceful Korea. We will find out very soon whether Mr. Moon is the right person. Can he put S Korea in the right place in good partnership of the free world, or in a place unrecognizable in the far eastern corner of the world? This is not a matter of private comfort of one generation but a human pride and dignity once lived in Korean peninsula as the fatherland.

Mr. Moon has raised a question as to whether additional units of SAAD missile system were installed following the legitimate authorization. If it were illegitimate, the US could have installed them furtively. This is a serious charge against his strongest ally. Raising such a question in public could be construed as a sign of severing the mutual trust. By keeping distance with the US, Mr. Moon might have attempted a cheap shot to have closer relationship with the Qing Dynasty. The Qing thought it is a good opportunity to bring S Korea to her side this time to make both North and South under her territory making a better position to negotiate with the US. So, Premier Xi even raised his voice of opposition of the THAAD in Korean peninsula. Mr. Moon, an inexperienced leader, thought his mumbling lip service can improve already cold relation with China. But China wants only real thing, the removal of SAAD, which is impossible to the US. Trump administration would not budge on such nonsense. The US and Korean alliance has been strong for the past 70 years. One president, though being a pro-North socialist, cannot give a dent on the relationship. Mr. Moon has a lot of homework to do before he meets with President Trump face to face. Mr. Moon has to remember there is the consequence on what he says or does in the world stage. He is no more a mere local instigator mingling with Kwanhwamoon riots. There is even the special news reporting that Mr. Moon has stopped the installation of the US SAAD. Should this be true, there could be a long negotiation ensuing.

Now Moon administration says that the SAAD question raised was not intended toward the US but toward domestic discussion only. His explanation is childish and laughable to mature adults. The US Defense secretary, Gen. Mattis responded, it is understandable after listening to the apology of the Korean Defense Minister Han. But his face looked puzzled. He did not seem to understand what Mr. Moon really want do with the SAAD. Only Koreans can understand including me. Mr. Moon does not want to make the nation less safe by weakening the US force in S Korea. Yet, He wants to consolidate his political power by purging his opponents from the government and influential positions. Mr. Moon is taking a political revenge against people he does not like. Daily TV news is full of suspicious accusations on the years old corruptions and wrong doing. For this reason, I would not watch Korean news for a while. People supporting him seem so righteous and are full of hatred toward those who do not agree with them 100%. This is dangerous for the future peace of the nation. The political revenge is no and no. People must learn to digest hatred into grace to stop repeated political revenge. Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says God. America is a great country, because there is no political revenge. Despite his tyranny and corruption in the name of political correctness, equal distribution, or religious freedom, Obama is not going to be punished for them. Mr. Obama is a student of the collective salvation at the cost of individual freedom. Luckily, he is not going to come back again, which is enough to Americans. Politicians are inherently corrupt. Good and honest people never want to become politicians. All we can expect from politicians is that they lead the nation in the right direction. Do you think Mr. Moon leads S Korea in the right direction? This is in my view a million dollar question everybody should ask. I do not think he does. Apparently, He works for poor and young people. But he is not a presidential material for all Koreans in the world stage.

 The majority of S Koreans has been duped to elect Mr. Moon the President. This is a sad change domestic as well as international. The domestic issues such as corruption, joblessness, income equality, education, and social welfare have been raised and exclusively focused by Mr. Moon. Certainly these are social issues every citizen has to deal with each and every day. People wanted to change the leadership for better not understanding what Mr. Moon has hidden behind. The unintended consequence is that S Korean economy may stagnates if not deteriorate and be isolated from the free world, and that S Korea become more vulnerable to the N Korean nuclear threat, because Mr. Moon is a socialistic revolutionist. S Korea has to cope with two major problems: one is to denuclearize N Korean nuclear weapons to bring peace to Korean peninsula and the other is to maintain foreign trades to keep Korean economy healthy. China may be an important player in this regard. But S Korea is not a friend of China in heart, who considers Korean peninsula as her territory of her old Qing Dynasty. Xi Jinping is a politician of rejuvenation of the Qing Dynasty in the Far East. Sadly, people do not seem to see the real enemy.

S Korea does not have a long civilian government history. Practically, it had 10 years (1998 – 2008) of the progressive government and 9 years (2008 -2017) of the conservative government and it has just started the progressive government (2017 - ) again. Prior to the period, Koreans have experienced civil revolution, military control, and finally the establishment of the civilian government.  The Pro-North Moon Government will restart among others the Sunshine Policy toward N Korea, which was stopped for the past nine years. How the policy will take a shape on the economy and the security of S Korea is to be seen. Mr. Moon will forcibly push S Korea toward a socialist country though majority of people have traditionally opposed to it since the horrible Korean War.

Kim Jong-Un of N Korea appeared to have secured the nuclear weapon and missile technology enough to destroy entire S Korea into rubble and ash. The previous progressive government, Kim and Rho, helped built the power by sending to the North US$8 Billion in cash in the name of economic aid program. Everyone in the world except poor S Koreans has known about the misuse of the money. Now Kim has taken 25 million people of Seoul metropolitan area as hostage to keep his regime secure and asking more money from the South. N Korea is supported by China. No Chinse support, No Kim’s regime exists. Xi Jinping uses Kim as his foot soldier to recover the lost territory of the Qing Dynasty. The US understands the deep mind of China. A nuclear war in the peninsula is inevitable within a few years if all nuclear weapon keeps growing at the present pace. One possible scenario goes like this: China, an unreliable partner, would not cooperate with the US to denuclearize the North as she promised. The US President could not wait any longer, because the time is running out before the 2018 US midterm election, and therefore would act anyway to make a final notice for the North to stop the nuclear program in the summer of 2018. In December 2018, a holiday season and bad time for war,  Kim Jong-Un  would make an order to shoot long range rockets to land at the center of Seoul city killing hundreds of thousands people. The National Security Council of the US at White House is to make a decision whether to make the North an ash on the earth or not. This is a horrible scenario but not groundless. Kwanghwamoon riots wanted this. S Korea must wake up. We have to look back who did to bring this danger. Who gave $ 8 Billion to help build the nuclear weapon? S Korean people must watch what Mr. Moon does and restrain his ideology from going his own way.

Mr. Moon has two problems. First, Korean Government has empty coffer. He does not have enough money even to fulfill his irresponsible campaign promises. He faces foreign trade restrictions. Second, He cannot send money as before to the North to placate Kim’s appetite, because the UN Security Council resolution passed in 2016 prohibits such money transfer in any form and the US Trump administration will enforce it. The free world is on Trump’s side on this matter. Trump has many options to denuclearize the North. But Trump is hardly likely to take preemptive attack on the North at this stage. Clearly the sunshine policy is likely stalled. However Mr. Moon is like a sly fox and has been successful in deceiving people with nonsense promises to vote for him. Some Kwanhwamoon people worship him for his false humility. They praise even his worn out shoes.  

Can S Korea be independent of the communist China or imperialist USA? This has been the basic question we have been boggled with. This is totally a wrong question. We have been brainwashed to repeat this question for so many decades. No country can survive isolated from the world. We have to produce our best products to trade with other countries to live in peace together. We live by trade and competition. The real question is whether we live as a free nation or as a subject to the Qing Dynasty. S Korea has built prosperity on the freedom she has fought for. N Korea has never tasted freedom and already become a servant to China. I noticed some ignorant politicians like China better than America not knowing tyranny from liberty. They may like daily ration bestowed from the Emperor rather than to build their own life. Then the question is this: How can we keep our freedom and prosperity from the aggression of the Qing Dynasty? This is our job to resolve for us and our descendants. We have to keep alliance with our neighboring nations to make us strong altogether. South Korea, Japan, India, Australia and USA could make a strong defense to deter the Chinese expansion. S Korea needs to open her eyes to see the outside danger that is at our door instead of fighting inside each other for little things. I hope Mr. Moon grows to be a competent world leader to deal with these difficult issues at hand. Unless Mr. Moon transforms himself, S Korea does not have hope in my view.

I have many sleepless nights for my fatherland, which is perhaps a sign of old age. In a few days, we choose Hong Joon-pyo or Moon Jae-in. This is NOT an ordinary choice. The choice is between Heaven and Hell, because it is between freedom and slavery. 70 years ago, N Korea chose the slavery in the name of the self-reliance to build a socialist country, while S Korea chose the free market with the help of free nations to bring 21th century economic miracle.  Today, N Korea is the world’s most poverty stricken totalitarian regime to survive threatening her neighbor S Korea with horrible nuclear weapon. Kim Jung-un the third generation dictator killed his uncle and brother and sticks to the nuke to wield power. He exports his young people as slave labors to foreign countries to get money in. His people inside are starving. His close sycophants are extremely corrupt enjoying luxurious lives. Ordinary people don’t have time for any complaint but to look to their great leader for daily meals. They are brain washed to sacrifice their lives to worship Kim Jung-un. This is a modern day hell. When we look outside the hell, just being outside of it is heaven. I am sure you will agree with me on that. Some people in Seoul, especially the young are intoxicated by the socialism. They are fascinated with N Korea of the self-reliance and the nuke power to bully other nations. The progressivism has influenced them with lies and false idea to build a utopia in S Korea. Moon Jae-in is the perpetrator to hypnotize the ignorant people. He is the friend of murderer Kim Jong-un. He instigated Kwanhwamoon riots to remove the legitimate president, paralyze the judiciary system, and suffocate media. He pushes with the KwangHwanoon revolutionary blood to be elected. He does not have a straight face to meet citizens with honest. He is a third generation socialist following Kim Dae-Joong and Rho Moo-Hyun. He is bloody all over. He knows only revolution. He does not know even economy. If elected, He will make S Korea an isolated socialist nation like N Korea. He does not like America. He does not like THAAD to protect our land. He is incapable of providing good education, good job, or good social welfare. When in doubt, look to N Korea. Let him join his friend. We must reject Moon Jae-in.

S Korea needs sound economic engine now more than ever to cope with the changing world. US president Trump will not support a socialist government in S Korea if it comes. He is unlike previous presidents. It is Trump era. It is an opportunity for us to make a closer tie with the US to revive our stagnating economy. As we have built after the Korean War, We have to rebuild the market oriented Korean government again. The opponent blames the market economy for corruption. It is nonsense. Wherever people go, a little corruption follows, which is manageable. Look to the rampant corruptions in N Korea: murdering, slavery, poverty, luxury, suppression. . . . .

Hong Joon-Pyo represents market economy and freedom. We are free to grow to our limit. The economy will revive under him. Exports and imports will increase.  Innovated technology is on the way. Factories will invigorate. Job opportunities will multiply.  Young people will study and work harder for themselves not for the great leader. They don’t need to look to the great leader for daily meals. This is a heaven in my view. This way we have built Korean miracle so far. We have to continue to safeguard our free Korea. Let us elect Hong Joon-Pyo our President.

The election date is set to May 9^th. Have you decided whom to vote? The poll indicates Moon Jae-in far ahead. He is an unabashed socialist in character and policy. If the poll is correct and three other candidates go their own way insisting on their own merits only, he is likely the next President. This is a bad news. S Korea can go down as another isolated nation in Trump era. If the remaining opponents see the reality and unite together to form a united free nation party as the alternative, this election becomes a choice between the free market and the socialist dictatorship. Then, it is fair for people to make a clear choice. Politicians have responsibility to provide such clear option.

Kim Jong-un has turned increasingly wicked continuing the missile tests with repeated failures. Such test is an expression of his will to fight against the US.  His will is based on a dangerous calculation. He calculates that he can sneak in to destroy Seoul if attacked in retaliation to his insidious action. The US is reluctant to go war with N Korea. Trump administration still in young stage has many urgent things to do domestically. But Kim is pushing a high stake game to the limit the US could not restrain. So, Trump is seeking a way to denuclearize N Korea with minimum loss. He has persuaded even China to influence its power to remove the nuke with his promise to offer an economic carrot to China. The outcome of Chinese effort will greatly decide what Trump will do on both China and N Korea in coming days. It is a lull before the storm. Unfortunately, Korean people don’t seem to understand when Trump recently said, Korea should pay for $1B THAAD missile defense system. This could be a message Trump made to his enemies and S Korea. He could also mean not to support Korean government with American money and military might, should a progressive party take over the government. But as long as Korea stays a free nation, such comments could be ignored. This is Trump era. Kim Dae-Joong and Rho Moo-hyun governments survived in a different era. Such government will be cut off America in Trump era. This is reality.  

Moon Jae-in keeps lying by unveiling ridiculous socialist policies aimed especially at ignorant young voters and helpless old voters. He will say anything that will help him elected. Conservative politicians must immediately stop fighting each other and unite together to stand behind one candidate against the socialist. Moon does not respect the law. He put his ideology above the law. He came out to the street instead of working in the congress to instigate Kwanhwamoon riots as a revolutionary force to topple the legitimate government. Saewolho salvage operation is his baby to secure his power base costing Korean people an enormous fortune. He mobilized labor unions, bought the judiciary system, and befriended the media. He managed to have the ex-president incarcerated. He has weakened Korean economy by having Samsung chief arraigned. This is only the beginning of what he would do when elected.  He will not only say but also do whatever is convenient to change S Korea to the N Korean structure. The peace loving Koreans will not be dragged like sheep to slaughter. This election is to stop Moon. It is the last chance.

Coming 10 days are the pivotal days that will determine the fate of S Korean future. No slight mistake is permissible. Just 10 days later, S Korea could become a totally isolated island disconnected from the free world. Moon government would have only one friend, Kim Jong-un asking only money. There will be no THAAD, $30 Billion surplus per year from America, US servicemen in the S Korean war field nor Korean trade with America. This is a wakening moment for all of us. We know S Korea was saved from the Korean War by America. But not all know that then-president Truman (Democrat) almost gave up S Korea. General MacArthur (GOP) saved the southern part of Korean peninsula and reinstated Seungman Rhee as the president of Korea on September 28, 1950. That was and is free Korea as we know. An American President understands free Korea. President Trump recognizes the spirit and would not support any socialist government in Korea. We Koreans must unite to stop socialist Moon and safeguard free Korea. The choice is in our hands today.

It was a great human effort. The two barge ships lifted up Saewolho sunken down to the bottom of the sea bed by the power of multiple winches turning to pull wire ropes in balance. Koreans hired foreign technology and equipment to get this thing done. Almost all Koreans have witnessed a great performance of the human engineering over time not missing a moment. I do not know what they want to learn from the scene. A TV caster ran the show as if a feast. But I doubt it was a feast. It showed the depravity of human soul. The salvage cost must be huge. I had a feeling that we are missing something big. We might waste money and national energy without realizing them. The salvage expense, tax payers’ money, paid to the foreign nation is probably much more than the cost of building in the country a new ship comparable to Saewolho. But the incident of Saewolho includes not only material loss but also human loss, suffering, emotion, and blame game. It was the reminder of the cowardly behavior of the captain, the immoral business practice of the ship owner, safety absent passengers. Where was God, when it occurred, not saving those innocent high school kids dying in the sinking ship? Does God help certain kind of people only? Does God hate Koreans? There is no answer to these and other numerous questions.  God may not exist. But men blame God when something terrible happens.

You might have read a best seller novel called “Shack” published several years ago and now is on movie. This is a story of a happy young man with beautiful wife and one boy and two daughters. On a family vacation, the sweet youngest daughter is abducted in the absence of their attention. Emergency call 911 did not bring her back. Everyone involved was sad and then had guilty feeling looming out of not paying attention to the little helpless darling. If each one had little more careful eyes on her, the little girl would be here. The family went into despair. Finally the man asked God. Why are you so cruel to me? Why do you give my little child so much trouble? What did she do wrong to You? I have been a Christian all my life. Is this a gift to me in return? Now I know you don’t exist. Christianity is for ignorant and cowardly people, not for me. I don’t even like my wife, my son, and my daughter. They care about themselves only. They are egotists. They ignored the poor helpless little kid. My home is a hell. He cried.

Saewoolho victim families might have accused God for not doing anything to save their innocent little kids. My real question is: do you really blame God for the Saewolho accident? Then, do you want God to be the captain of the ship, ship navigator, ship engineer, ship owner, passenger safety counter, freight weight account balancer, sea waves calmer, and a caretaker of our every detailed activities? So do we want to be mere robots operated by God’s finger tips? Don’t be ridiculous. God created to give us free will so as to do things freely at our own risk. The accident was directly or indirectly caused by our greed, carelessness, irresponsibility, and ignorance. Is it anything to do with ex-president’s Botox operation? I don’t think so. Is it easier for you to blame the ex-president than God? God is too fearful to blame and ex-president is a weakly woman.  We are used to blame others for anything gone wrong. In fact, God does not deserve blame. Blame game is not good for an individual as well as a nation. Blame game is to deceive ourselves and to get out of hidden guilty feeling. Man does not like to be blamed. Man does not want responsibility. So blame game is the name of the game in play every day. Blame game is a sin. We are sinful.  

The young man who has lost his daughter finally realized that God is blameless. The abduction is evil and was a human work. Then who made his home a hell? Why did they end up hating each other after the loss of their child? He found that they were blaming each other unconsciously. Each person was thinking it was somebody else’s fault but could not escape from the guilt. Blaming other without reason is indeed a sin. The sin took happiness out of the family.  In Christian terms, he was a servant to sin. Every member was sinner. God made him realize his sin by His Grace. God is justice. He wants to make us all saved from sin. Soon believing in God, when he chose to be free from sin, happiness came back again. A happy ending story! A theologian wrote a book on a theology of Shack after the novel. This book must be a serious book for religious people.  I am not a theologian, but only a lay Christian. I hope this is not too far from the teaching.

Now when we realized that Saewolho accident is our fault come from our sins, why did victims’ families put up tents on Kwanhwamoon street and blamed the Government, not to mention blaming God?  And shrewd politicians have not missed an opportunity to use them for instigating political riots. This is a terrible injustice to God and also to peace loving Korean people throughout the country. We recognize their suffering. We have sympathy toward them and will help them placate their agony and recover material loss. But putting up tents on the busy street trying to block citizen’s everyday life is not justified. But how have Koreans come to accept such injustice as justice? Korea has become a nation of injustice. What am I wrong? What say you?
